Sera Filter foam for Sera Fil 60/120

Filter foam for the sera fil 60 and fil 120 internal filters.

How it differs from the cartridge: the foam is the sponge part of the filter. It takes the coarse dirt and at the same time acts as a bed for bacteria. The cartridge, by contrast, is a complete media package. Both are spare parts for the same filter, and the same foam fits either model.

In use: the foam can be rinsed in aquarium water many times before it needs replacing. Washing it under the tap kills the bacteria that have grown into it, and the biological side of the filtration starts over.
