An adjustable internal filter with a fine mesh filter sponge. Model F 1200 of the range.

The largest of the range – and the only one with accessories included. The F 1200 comes with additional connector pieces for directing the water and with a Venturi nozzle that can be used if wanted. The Venturi nozzle mixes air into the water, so one unit provides both the current and the aeration. The smaller F 400 and F 700 do not have these.

How it works: an intake pipe is attached to the intake side of the pump and draws the water through a fine mesh sponge. The sponge does two things at once: it keeps larvae and juvenile fish out of the pump and removes fine particles from the water. A biologically active zone for nitrifying bacteria forms inside the sponge.

About the range: the adjustable F range is based on the sera P range submersible pumps, and as in those, the output is adjustable. Mounting is by the suction cups supplied.
