Tunze Turbelle® nanostream® 6015

Tunze Turbelle nanostream 6015 is a compact and energy-efficient circulation pump for freshwater and marine aquariums from 40 to 200 litres. It produces approximately 1,800 l/h of broad, natural water movement while consuming only 3.5 W. Three-dimensional directional adjustment, a vibration-reducing Silence clamp, and magnetic mounting make it ideal for nano and medium-sized reef or planted aquariums.

Product description

Tunze Turbelle nanostream 6015 is a compact propeller pump designed to circulate aquarium water effectively. Its broad output moves water around rockwork, plants, coral structures, and decorations without creating the narrow jet associated with conventional water pumps.

The pump provides approximately 1,800 l/h of circulation and is recommended for aquariums from 40 to 200 litres. Practical suitability depends on aquarium shape, interior structure, and the flow requirements of the inhabitants.

Broad natural circulation

Effective circulation distributes oxygen and nutrients while reducing stagnant areas where uneaten food, detritus, and organic waste may accumulate.

In marine aquariums, broad water movement supports coral gas exchange and food delivery. In freshwater systems, the pump can provide additional circulation for planted displays, rocky aquariums, and fish from flowing-water environments.

Three-dimensional adjustment

The spherical nanostream design can be directed in three dimensions without additional accessories. The output can be aimed along the aquarium, towards the surface, or behind rock structures.

Directing the flow towards the surface improves surface movement and gas exchange. Aiming it behind the hardscape helps reduce areas where organic waste may collect.

Magnetic mounting and quiet operation

The included Magnet Holder and Silence clamp provide secure attachment to aquarium glass up to 12 mm thick. The vibration-reducing clamp helps prevent motor vibration from being transferred to the aquarium glass.

Handle the magnets carefully and prevent them from snapping together. Slide the external magnet away from the internal unit when removing the pump.

Large intake area

A large intake strainer distributes suction across a broad area and helps delay premature clogging. The intake should still be inspected regularly for algae, leaves, snails, and debris.

Additional protection may be required for very small fish, fry, shrimp, or other animals capable of entering the intake area.

Energy-efficient continuous operation

The pump produces approximately 1,800 l/h while consuming only 3.5 W. Low motor heat and an integrated protective thermostat support reliable continuous operation.

The standard 6015 is a fixed-output model. It is not electronically adjustable and should not be used with rapid on-off wave controllers. Adjust the effective flow by changing the pump position and direction.

Installation and maintenance

1. Select a position on the rear or side glass.
2. Confirm that the glass is no more than 12 mm thick.
3. Keep the internal and external magnets separate during installation.
4. Position the internal pump assembly.
5. Bring the external magnet towards the glass from the side.
6. Make sure the pump does not touch the glass or decorations.
7. Initially direct the flow towards the surface or front glass.
8. Confirm that the flow does not disturb substrate or livestock.
9. Create a drip loop in the power cable.
10. Start the pump only when completely submerged.
11. Adjust the direction after observing overall circulation.
12. Disconnect the pump before maintenance.

Clean the intake, propeller, rotor shaft, and motor chamber regularly. Remove marine calcium deposits with a pump-safe cleaning solution and rinse every component thoroughly before reassembly.
