Exoterra terrasky uv- UVB LED 10watt10W
An adjustable LED fixture for the top of the terrarium, 10 W. It produces visible light plus UVA and UVB, and the spectrum is adjustable.
The horizontal orientation and wide beam cover a larger area than a point-source UV bulb. The 120-degree dispersion lights evenly and leaves no dark spots.
UVB lets the skin form vitamin D3 and thus absorb calcium; sufficient UVB prevents metabolic bone disease. UVA increases appetite, activity and reproductive behaviour and reduces stress.
Remote control: the white 6500 K LEDs and the UVA and UVB LEDs are adjusted in 10% increments, so the ratio of light to UV can be set to suit the species. The timer has 8, 12 and 14 hour presets plus sunrise and sunset functions for mimicking seasonal cycles. Three daylight and two moonlight presets are included, along with three memory buttons for your own settings.
A biofluorescence function makes biofluorescent plants, mushrooms, invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians glow in the dark.
51 bright white 6500 K LEDs make the fixture suitable for planted and bioactive terrariums, paludariums and aquatic turtle enclosures. The strong photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) is enough for orchids, bromeliads, tillandsias, carnivorous plants, mosses, lichens and aquatic plants. The colour temperature is 8500 K and the CRI 92, so the animal perceives the colours of its environment naturally.
The LED chips last up to 20,000 hours, more than four years.
The housing is rated IP54 for humid environments. Extendable mounting brackets fit Small and Medium Natural Terrariums and other terrariums between 38 and 60 cm wide. The fixture can also be installed inside the terrarium with mounting clips (PT2434, sold separately).
Important: always combine UV light with a generous source of infrared-A heat, such as the Intense Basking Spot or Halogen Basking Spot.
