Exoterra infrared basking spot nano 25W

An infrared spot bulb for terrariums, 25 W, E27 cap. The Nano is the smallest model in the range and suits small terrariums.

The bulb is a heater rather than a light: a special filament produces infrared waves and the red glass lets them through. The reddish light does not disrupt the animal's normal cycle, so the bulb works as a heat source around the clock.

A built-in reflector lets you direct the heat where you want it. That creates the temperature gradient a reptile needs to regulate its body temperature. Heat is also a precondition for digestion: too cool and a reptile cannot digest what it has eaten.

The red light can also be used for watching the animals at night.

For a full daily cycle: combine it with a daytime bulb (Daytime Heat Lamp or Daylight Basking Spot) so that day and night are distinct.
