A reptile's eye is not like a human's. It is more sensitive to wavelengths in the spectrum that matter less to us – a reptile has four colour receptors, a human three. Ordinary bulbs have been developed for human vision.

The peaks of the Reptile Vision spectrum are placed at the wavelengths that matter to a reptile. The animal perceives the colours of its environment more naturally, which improves its condition and natural behaviour and increases appetite and reproductive behaviour.

Combine the bulb with a Natural Light bulb or with a UVB bulb matching your species' UV requirement (Reptile UVB100, UVB150 or UVB200).

Replace the bulb yearly. The light and UV output of a compact fluorescent bulb decline over time even though the bulb still lights normally.
