ATI T5 Actinic loisteputki

ATI True Actinic produces a concentrated violet-blue spectrum at the edge of visible light. The tube appears softer and dimmer to the human eye than ATI Blue Plus, but its approximately 421 nm peak is exceptionally effective at revealing fluorescent pigments in compatible corals.

The tube is intended primarily as a supplementary source rather than the sole lighting for a reef aquarium. ATI generally recommends using one True Actinic tube per fixture to add fluorescence while retaining adequate overall brightness from Blue Plus, Coral Plus, LED or metal-halide lighting.

Always confirm the fixture wattage, G5 socket and actual tube length before ordering.

Installation and use

1. Disconnect the fixture from power.
2. Allow the existing tube to cool.
3. Remove the splash guard where applicable.
4. Remove the old tube according to the fixture instructions.
5. Inspect the sockets, seals and reflectors.
6. Install the new tube evenly at both ends.
7. Refit all splash-protection components.
8. Reconnect the fixture and test operation.
9. Acclimate corals if the total lighting intensity changes.
10. Replace the tube approximately every 8–12 months in demanding reef use.
