The bulb has a neodymium sleeve, which gives daylight of a more natural colour. The spectrum suits maintaining the daily light cycle and plant photosynthesis, and the infrared part provides the heat.

As a spot bulb it lets you direct the heat to one place, which gives the terrarium both an actual basking site and a temperature gradient.

For a full daily cycle: combine it with a Night Heat Lamp so that day and night are distinct.
