GHL ProfiLux 4.1

GHL ProfiLux 4.1 is a professional monitoring, automation, and safety platform for demanding aquarium systems. It combines water-parameter measurement, equipment control, lighting programs, dosing, alarms, and data logging in one expandable system.

Compared with ProfiLux 4, the main enhancements are a built-in LAN port, an upgraded WiFi solution, and OTA firmware updates. Core automation runs locally under ProfiLuxOS and does not depend on a continuous internet or cloud connection.

Integrated measurements

Target values, control ranges, alarm limits, and automated reactions can be configured for each measurement.

WiFi, LAN, and USB

ProfiLux 4.1 provides WiFi, Ethernet, and USB connectivity. The built-in LAN port provides a stable wired connection for demanding home and professional installations.

The controller can be accessed through GHL Connect, the integrated webserver, GHL Control Center, and the myGHL cloud service. Local operation remains available without cloud dependency.

OTA firmware updates

Firmware can be updated over WiFi or Ethernet without connecting the controller to a computer by USB. USB remains available for local setup and maintenance.

Expandable architecture

Three built-in expansion-card slots support additional interfaces and measurement modules. ProfiLux Aquatic Bus allows GHL Powerbars, Doser units, Expansion Boxes, KH Director, and ION Director to be integrated.

Installation and setup

1. Install the controller in a dry, splash-protected location.
2. Connect the included temperature sensor.
3. Connect optional pH, redox, and conductivity probes.
4. Position the probes in steadily circulating water.
5. Calibrate the measurement probes.
6. Connect GHL Powerbars and other PAB devices.
7. Assign switch channels and controlled equipment.
8. Configure target values, hysteresis, and alarms.
9. Configure heating, cooling, and pump automation.
10. Set feeding and maintenance modes.
11. Connect ProfiLux to WiFi or Ethernet.
12. Configure GHL Connect and myGHL when required.
13. Test every sensor, control function, and safety routine.
14. Back up the configuration.
