GHL ProfiLux 4.1e

GHL ProfiLux 4.1e is a cost-effective entry into professional aquarium automation. It uses the same reliable ProfiLuxOS platform and expandable GHL ecosystem as ProfiLux 4.1 but includes only temperature and a combined pH/ORP measurement input as standard.

Conductivity and salinity monitoring can be added later with an expansion card. This keeps the initial investment lower while preserving extensive upgrade options.

Core monitoring and automation operate locally without requiring a continuous internet or cloud connection.

Integrated measurements

Standard measurement support includes:

• Digital water temperature
• pH or redox/ORP

The combined measurement input is configured for either a pH probe or a redox probe. Simultaneous pH and redox monitoring requires an additional expansion card or Expansion Box.

Conductivity measurement can be added later with a compatible expansion card.

Lighting and pump control

Depending on the system configuration, ProfiLux 4.1e supports:

Lighting functions can include sunrise, sunset, moon phases, clouds, thunderstorms, seasonal changes, and acclimation.

Pump functions can include variable flow, wave simulation, night reduction, feeding pauses, maintenance modes, and safety shutdown.

WiFi, LAN, and USB

ProfiLux 4.1e provides WiFi, Ethernet, and USB connectivity. Wired LAN offers a stable network option for demanding home and professional installations.

The controller supports GHL Connect, the integrated webserver, GHL Control Center, and myGHL.

OTA firmware updates

Firmware can be installed over WiFi or Ethernet without connecting the controller to a computer using USB.

Expandable design

Three internal expansion-card slots support additional measurement and control functions. The system can also be expanded with:

Installation and setup

1. Install the controller in a dry, splash-protected location.
2. Connect the included digital temperature sensor.
3. Connect the selected pH or redox probe.
4. Position the probes in steadily circulating water.
5. Keep probes away from air bubbles and dosing outlets.
6. Calibrate the measurement probe.
7. Connect a GHL Powerbar through PAB when required.
8. Connect additional PAB devices and expansion cards.
9. Assign sensors, sockets, pumps, and dosing channels.
10. Configure target values, hysteresis, and alarms.
11. Configure feeding and maintenance modes.
12. Connect ProfiLux to WiFi or Ethernet.
13. Configure GHL Connect and myGHL.
14. Test every measurement, control function, and safety routine.
15. Back up the configuration.
