Chihiros LED Dimmer (manual)

The Chihiros Manual LED Dimmer connects between a compatible light and its power supply. The integrated button cycles through seven predefined brightness levels, allowing the light output to be matched to aquarium depth, plant requirements, and carbon-dioxide availability.

The last selected intensity is retained after switching the power off. When a plug-in timer turns the light on again, the same brightness setting is restored automatically.

Use with B Series lights longer than 60 cm is not particularly recommended because the controller may become warm under the higher load.

The dimmer is not automatically compatible with A II, A II Max, WRGB II, WRGB II Pro, RGB Vivid, Universal WRGB, or lights using a different voltage or connector.

Installation

1. Confirm the exact light model and compatibility.
2. Disconnect the power supply from the mains.
3. Insert the dimmer between the light and power supply.
4. Check the connector orientation.
5. Do not force incompatible connectors.
6. Position the dimmer in a dry, ventilated location.
7. Create a drip loop in the cable.
8. Reconnect the power supply.
9. Select the required brightness with the button.
10. Check that the controller does not become excessively warm.
11. Connect a plug-in timer when required.
12. Inspect the cables and connectors regularly.
