Diversa Backlight White Aquarium Background
Diversa Backlight White is an illuminated background panel designed for installation behind the rear aquarium glass. White LED light is distributed evenly across the panel, creating a bright and consistent background that makes the aquarium appear more open, clear, and visually deeper.
The panel is particularly suitable for aquascaping displays where plants, rocks, wood, and open areas form a carefully planned composition. A white illuminated background separates the different layers of the layout and highlights small fish, fine plant structures, and detailed hardscape elements.
Backlight White uses a natural 6500 K daylight colour temperature. The neutral white tone is suitable for many freshwater aquariums and creates a clean background without the strongly coloured appearance associated with RGB lighting. It is an excellent choice for natural, minimalist, and timeless aquarium designs.
Brightness can be adjusted across three separate lighting zones. Individual zone control makes it possible to create a consistently illuminated background or a gradual light transition. A brighter upper section combined with a softer lower section can imitate daylight entering the water from above.
Adjustable illumination makes it easier to match the background panel with the primary aquarium light. At a lower setting, the panel provides a subtle sense of depth. Higher brightness creates a clear background that emphasizes silhouettes and open areas within the aquarium.
The evenly illuminated surface helps reduce distracting shadows and visual clutter behind the rear glass. The panel can also conceal wall colours, cables, and other objects behind the aquarium, creating a cleaner overall presentation.
Diversa Backlight White is easy to install with the included brackets. The panel is suspended behind the aquarium and connected to its power supply. Its slim aluminium frame is approximately 2 cm thick and requires minimal space between the aquarium and the wall. Wiring is positioned behind the panel for a neat installation.
Backlight White is a decorative aquarium background light. It does not replace the primary lighting required by aquatic plants or corals. The main aquarium light must always be selected according to the needs of the aquarium inhabitants.
The panel has an IP20 protection rating and is not waterproof. The panel, power supply, controller, and electrical connections must be protected from splashes, condensation, and continuous moisture. Never install the panel inside the aquarium or where water can flow onto the product.

Select the panel according to the width and height of the aquarium rear glass. For the best result, choose a panel that covers as much of the visible rear glass as possible.
Installation and use
- Measure the width and height of the aquarium rear glass.
- Select the closest matching panel size.
- Make sure there is enough space between the aquarium and the wall.
- Clean the rear glass before installation.
- Attach the included brackets to the panel.
- Suspend the panel securely behind the aquarium.
- Make sure the panel does not contact water or wet surfaces.
- Position the power supply and controller in a dry location.
- Create a drip loop in the power cable.
- Switch on the background light.
- Adjust the brightness of the three lighting zones.
- Protect every electrical connection from splashes and condensation.
A natural result can be achieved by adjusting the upper section slightly brighter than the lower section. Match the brightness to the main aquarium light so that the background enhances rather than overwhelms the natural colours of fish and plants.
