Commander 1 adds local Bluetooth control to a compatible Chihiros aquarium light. It allows the lighting schedule and overall brightness to be adjusted from a smartphone or tablet without a separate timer.

Gradual sunrise and sunset transitions avoid sudden changes between full illumination and darkness. The controller is particularly useful in planted and aquascaping aquariums where lighting intensity and duration must be balanced with plant growth, fertilization, and carbon-dioxide supplementation.

Do not assume compatibility with A II, WRGB II, WRGB II Pro, RGB Vivid, or lights with different connectors, voltage requirements, or integrated controllers.

Installation

1. Confirm the exact light model and compatibility.
2. Disconnect the power supply from the mains.
3. Insert Commander 1 between the light and power supply.
4. Confirm that every connector is correctly seated.
5. Position the controller in a dry, splash-protected location.
6. Create a drip loop in the power cable.
7. Connect the power supply.
8. Install and open the My Chihiros application.
9. Enable Bluetooth and the required application permissions.
10. Pair the controller through the application.
11. Test brightness control.
12. Program the lighting schedule.
13. Set the sunrise and sunset transitions.
14. Check the programmed operation during the first full day.
