Diversa Backlight RGB Aquarium Background
Diversa Backlight RGB is an illuminated background panel designed for installation behind the rear glass of an aquarium. Its evenly distributed light enhances the aquarium layout and creates a striking impression of additional depth.
The panel is particularly suitable for aquascaping displays where rocks, wood, plants, and open spaces form a carefully designed composition. An illuminated background separates the different layers of the layout and creates a more spacious and three dimensional appearance.
RGB lighting allows the background colour to be matched to the aquarium design, livestock, and preferred atmosphere. Blue shades can create an impression of deep and clear water, pale colours produce a fresh daylight effect, and warmer tones can imitate sunrise or sunset.
The panel uses two independently controlled RGB LED strips. The upper and lower lighting zones can be set to different colours, making it possible to create a smooth gradient. For example, a lighter upper section can be combined with a deeper blue lower section to create a natural feeling of depth.
The included Mi Light remote control provides continuous adjustment of colour, brightness, and saturation. Each LED strip can be controlled separately, allowing the user to create a solid background, subtle pastel effect, or a customized two colour combination.
Diversa Backlight RGB illuminates the rear glass evenly. The large lighting surface helps create a uniform background without the clearly visible individual light points often associated with standard LED strips.
The panel is installed behind the aquarium using the included brackets. Its slim aluminium frame is approximately 2 cm thick, requiring minimal space between the aquarium and the wall. Wiring is positioned behind the panel for a clean installation.
Backlight RGB is a decorative background light. It does not replace the primary aquarium light required by aquatic plants or corals. The main lighting system should always be selected according to the requirements of the aquarium inhabitants.
The product has an IP20 protection rating and is not waterproof. The panel, power supply, controller, and electrical connections must be protected from splashes, condensation, and continuous moisture. Never install the product inside the aquarium or where water can flow onto the unit.

Choose the panel according to the width and height of the aquarium rear glass. For the best effect, the panel should cover as much of the visible rear glass as possible.
Installation and use
- Measure the width and height of the aquarium rear glass.
- Select the closest suitable panel size.
- Clean the rear glass before installation.
- Attach the included brackets to the panel.
- Hang the panel securely behind the aquarium.
- Make sure that the panel does not touch water or wet surfaces.
- Position the controller and power supply in a dry location.
- Create a drip loop in the power cable.
- Switch on the panel and pair the remote control when required.
- Adjust the upper and lower RGB zones separately.
- Select the preferred brightness and colour saturation.
- Protect every electrical connection from splashes and condensation.
For a natural result, adjust the background so that it supports rather than overwhelms the colours of plants, fish, rocks, and wood. A subtle gradient often provides a more realistic appearance than an intensely saturated background.
